In the course of my adult life I am finding along with my sibling that our abusive childhood is greatly affecting our relationships with our spouses, my children- as she can't have any.......

Everyday when I wake up and look at the small faces of my 3 children I am reminded of the horrors I and my sister endured as children the horrors of being screamed at,hit,kicked, hair pulled, beaten with a wooden paddle, wooden spoon, belt,broken bones and being forced to feel only what was acceptable to my mother. Spare the rod and spoil the child was taken way out of context in our case. I to this day have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and take large amounts of antidepressants. Suicidal thoughts haunt me- as i try to do better than the 3 generations that proceeded me. Desperation and lonelyness have set in deep.

	deedee1212 7/17/2004 19:48	Dear Lord, please wrap your loving and comforting arms around this mother and hger sibling and take away the pain that has plagued them for so many years. Allow closure and above all healing of these great wounds. Please give them both the strength and courage and whatever else they may need to come to point and start living a joyous and happy adult life. please protectthem as well as their spouses and the 3 children.
