Men serving our Country

This is dedicated to 4 men who truly believe in the oaths they took and serve our Country with all the Integrity and Honor it deserves.

These men are loved ones of a dear friend of mine and through her I almost feel as if I know them. I know they are dedicated, honorable men who serve our country with all the dignity and pride their uniforms demand. They are truly wonderful men who are missed greatly and who I wish to dedicate this prayer circle.

Dear Lord,

There's a young man far from home,
called to serve his nation in time of war;sent to defend our freedom
on some distant foreign shore.
We pray You keep him safe,
we pray You keep him strong,
we pray You send him safely home ... for he's been away so long.

Bless those who await their safe return.
Bless those who mourn the lost.
Bless those who serve this country well, no matter what the cost.

God, Bless America! God Bless Our Troops!

To Ray, RJ, Michael and Aaron. We have never met, yet I feel like I know you through Annie..At least I feel I know what is important and that is you are men of dedication, honor, and integrity and you have my heartfelt respect. You do a job that takes you away from those you love for such long periods,places you in danger and it's one that does not have many praises or rewards, but I know this is not why you do it. You do it because it's something you believe in and for that I owe you my heartfelt gratitude and support. We may never meet or talk, but you will always be in my heart and prayers because you are loved ones of someone I care about and call a dear friend. For that reason I also care about you, as strange as that may sound. Please do what needs to be done, do it with care and keep safe..I await the day I hear you have returned home and can smile knowing you are with those who love you and have missed you. God Bless you, stengthen you, and protect you.Hugs & a smile ~Ness~

Stay with me, God.
The night is dark,
The night is cold;
My little spark
Of courage dies.
The night is long;
Be with me, God,
And make me strong.
I love a game. I love a fight.
I hate the dark; I love the light.
I love my child; I love my wife.
I am no coward; I love life.
Life with its change
Of mood and shade.
I want to live. I'm not afraid.
But me and mine
Are hard to part;
Oh, unknown God,
Lift up my heart.
You stilled the waters at Dunkirk
And saved Your servants.
All your work is wonderful,
Dear God.
You strode before us
Down that dreadful road.
We were alone,
And hope had fled;
We loved our country
And our dead,
And could not shame them;
So we stayed
The course,
And were not much afraid.
Dear God,
That nightmare road!
And then That sea!
We got there
We were men
My eyes were blind,
My feet were torn
My soul sang like a bird at dawn!
I knew that death is but a door.
I knew what we were fighting for;
Peace for the kids,
Our brother freed,
A kinder world, a cleaner breed.
I'm but the son my mother bore,
A simple man, and nothing more.
But God
Of strength and gentleness,
Be pleased to make
Me nothing less.
Help me, O God,
When death is near
To mock the haggard
Face of fear,
That when I fall
If fall I must
My soul may triumph
In the dust.

Prayers are heard..RJ was sent back home and never had to go!..That is something to be very thankful for and I am. Ray, Michael, Aaron and John are still out there.John is a dear friend of these men and he is with them. I would like to add him to this prayer Circle and Hope he too will soon be back with those he loves. I pray for these men each night as well as for their families. No matter what your personal beliefs, or who you pray to, please keep these men and their families in your thoughts. I've seen it work in RJ's case and I know it will for these brave men too. We have so many out there and although they maybe nameless to us, let's say a prayer that they too are kept safe.Thank you...
