teen boy struggling with loss of faith

I am requesting prayers for my 15 year old son, who recently told me that her has lost his faith; he feels that there is no evidence for God, although he would like to believe

My son has really been struggling this year; school has been more difficult, as have relationships. Although he (and his sister) have been raised with God in their lives, and he graduated from a parochial grade school, he now believes there is no evidence for God, and that Jesus was a man, a very good man.
He tells me he would like to believe, but needs evidence. This is devastating for me, and it hurts me to see him struggle with this, and be unable to help, or convince him that God is there, and will never stop loving him. I will never give up praying, because Jesus told us not to give up, and I believe, with certainty, that praying for his faith to return is God's will. Please pray with me. Thank you.

	marciebarrow 8/15/2004 00:39	I am praying with you for this situation. I believe that he is probably just going through a period of searching. So often children who are raised in a christian enviroment go through this period of just trying to really figure out what they believe.. I have a 14 yr old and a 16 yr old going through the same thing and I know how painful it is. Scripture says God's work will not return void and also that He will finish the work He has started in these boys. God Bless You!
