The road your walking with Kevin right now is the hardest of all. Trust in God. My brother is suffering from liver cancer and has chosen not to treat it. I pray for the strength, faith and love needed for Kevin to overcome his disease. I will pray for you!

Hey Kevin and Kathy Sue,

I was 18 when I had Hodgins. I am now 42 and going strong. We have 4 kids. I was brought up as a Pastor's kid but did not really know Jesus untill about 2 years ago. I then realized how blessed I really was. One thing I have found that brings me close to God is prayer jounalling. One big thing is patience. Submit yourself to Him completely and you will be healed.

Kevin, I have a dear friend that suffers with Diabetes, and made through Nursing School in Cincinnati Ohio, many, many times he wanted to give up, but I constantly encourged him to pray, be strong and God will get him through it, and Praise the Lord, he did, as I know God will get you through this, expect a miracle to happen every day, God truly answers prayers, Good Bless you & your family. May God and all His Angels watch over Kevin. My sister died in 2000 with Hodgkins Lymphoma, or complications due to.
I pray that the fear and pain you and your loved one(s) feel be comforted by God's Love and Guidance. I pray that my sister watch over him as a guardian angel and comfort any and all doubts and misunderstandings Kevin may have. I ask these things in Jesus' Name, Amen.
She was 31 when she died. And though it was God's will, it was just a bad risk she took after her Bone Marrow had just been re-introduced into her body. She had taken her daughter (4 months old) to get Chicken Pox immunizations, and my sister developed shingles from the exposure. The Cancer and treatment was in and around her chest, and when they put her on a ventilator\respirator it collapsed her lung and caused brain damage.So it was complications due to, and we felt blessed and saddened the month and a half she was in there, we were able to say our good-byes, and yet the doctors kept getting our hopes up, and then telling us there was little or no chance. I don't mean to scare you, because it is serious, but I believe God will take care of Kevin, because Kevin is on a mission to help all those children with Cancer. God Bless!

Dear Kathy and Kevin,
I know that you are facing hard times. My husband is 30 years old and recently had a bone marrow biopsy to check for leukemia. His results came back negative thanks to God and the power of prayer. However, he is still ill and the doctor now wants to do a CT scan to check for tumors. It is certainly a scarey time but I have faith that everything will be fine. I will continue to pray for him and I will add you to my prayers so that the illness go into remission and disappear so you can go on and help others. God Bless You and heal you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you & your family. I'd like to share the following miracle stories with you and your family to help keep your thoughts focused & positive. #1: When I was 15 years old, my grandpa was diagnosed with blood cancer. He decided against chemo treatments, but he made sure he ate healthy, took several naps daily to keep from wearing down, took vitamins & spent fun loving time with family & friends and he kept a positive attitude. My grandpa's inner strength & positive attitude paid off! I'm 34 now and sad to say, he left for heaven this past Feb(2004), but I was given the gift & miracle to have him around another 20 years. #2: Seven years ago my grandma was diagnosed with cancer, she under-went surgery and treatments and she's completely cancer free and doing wonderful. #3: In 1998, a friend of mine was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's (3x harder to pin-point a cure, since it doesn't follow any certain pattern when it spreads), he was scheduled to start chemo treatments, when his family heard about a doctor that had been traveling all over the world studying the outcome & effects of a natural suppliment made from mushroom & rice extracts. The oriental (Japan, China, etc) use it when treating their cancer patients and there's proven data that the combination works with the body to fight off the cancer. I'm happy to say that Rick decided to try the suppliments to see if they would have any impact on his system before starting chemo. Without telling his doctor, he ordered & took the suppliments for 6-8 weeks and when he went back in for his next check up the lumps had fully shrank. I'm happy to say that the lumps shrank, new test results taken showed negative cancer cells present, no chemo was needed and Rick is still doing excellent seven years later!!! I'm not promoting you to stop chemo, I just wanted to share the miracles with you. Dear Keven and Kathy,
My prayers are with you and your whole family and friends.
My brother Alex, born in 1959 was finally diagnosed at age 6. They gave him 6 months tops. He found great doctors at Stanford University, Calif.
He was a pioneer of the many treatments. They did not have the means they have now. They have learned much since. Then was concidered a death sentence. It no longer has to be.
His final surgery, they could not get tumor out of neck completely. I think laser(developed later) would have given him many years. Many trials and tribulations in the midst.
He beat the 6 months and lived to be 18. One of his prayers of only 4 was to live to 18+1month exactly, not loose his mustach(he did not), get a diploma(unable to then), become a great and true cop.
He was too young, but the town made him a cadette.
He made MANY friends. So many that about 400 people and 3 towns came to his funeral. He was also given a true military burial and respected forever.
His grave stone has a hand peace sign.
That was his sign always.
When he died, he was able to tell dad,
Don't worry dad, Father is here!
He saw the light.
Stay strong, treasure every moment you have with each other NOW.
Have faith in GOD's plan for us!
I pray GOD gives you all the strength and peace in your heart as he did Alex. I pray he keeps your body strong as you go through the chemo, and for you mom that you will NEVER give up the hope or faith. I believe my brothers pioneering of new ways to treat cancer was not in vain. Because of Alex, I believe many have lived longer lives. GOD Bless and be with you always.

Kevin and Kathy: Hang in there. My husband had Hodgkins for several years starting at age nine. It was a long difficult and painful time for him but he survived. He is now 44. He is not 100% healthy, very thin, and unfortunately we were not able to have children due to the radiation. But I am extremely thankful that I get to greet each new day with him beside me. He has not been feeling well for about a year, this week we learned that a new mass has appeared in his lung. Two recent cat scans have showed that there has been agressive changes in the size of the mass. He is using the same positive and powerful thoughts that he had when he was a child to believe that he will overcome this new obstacle. These same positive thoughts and prayer will help you to overcome your obstacles too. Our prayers are with you. Remember the road is long but you will successfully reach your destination.

I bless you with everything I have inside of me in Jesus' name. Remember that He is still in control.I pray for His mercy on you. And that by your faith you will be made whole. Lord, that You would touch Kevin and that Your healing virtue would flow into him right now. That as You pass by he would reach out to touch the hem of Your

Kevin, God has a plan for you in the future. A plan that will lead you to a profession that will give you the opportunity to touch many lives in many ways. Currently there is a speed bump in your life that I among many are praying for you to get across. I pray for your personal faith and strength in the father almighty to help you through this difficult time. My best friend had Hodgkins's when he was 21. He was a healthy collegiate baseball player whose world was rocked with this news. God took care of him like he will take care of you. Continue to be strong and continue to look for the positives for these things will make you, your mind, your body and your spirit stronger and will help you to become the complete man God knew you could be when he made you in your mother's womb. I pray for your strength and safety during this time of your life. Stay positive and keep your head high for God loves you and has many things planned for your future. Be strong in Christ!!
