For Myself

I believe in the power of prayer. When two are three are gathered in His name, there He is also. Scripture also says, Ask and it shall be given unto you.

I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder nine months ago. The doctors where I live, have given me several tests, and cannot find out why I have suddenly developed this disorder. Since then I have been in the hosiptal six times because of this. I am on three different seizure meds, but I continue to have them. I feel I am overmedicated, but when I have tried to get myself off any of the medications my seizures increase.
Each time I have one it becomes more severe. And I cannot function for two days after.
My primary doctor is trying to help me get into Shands Hospital, where they specialize in seizure disorders. I am waiting to see if I am accepted.
My husband and I are praying for a complete healing, or wisdom on any doctor who can find the problem, so my medication will be properly monotered. Thank you to anyone who prays for me.

	jenn7878 12/6/2003 23:41	Tonite has been the hardest nite in my life. I was informed that my mother (only 53yrs old) was admitted into the hospital when her heart stopped. As of yet there is no one that can tell me why her heart stopped. They have been able to get her heart started again, but she is nonresponsive. After her brain surgery about 4 years ago, they are concerned that there may be complications. My mothers body is very weak and frail and I am concerned that her body is not strong enough to handle this. Please God and anyone out there reading this prayer, pray for my mother Marion. She is all I have and I don't want to lose her. And I know that God has a reason for everything ... and his intentions are good, but my mother is not saved, she is not Christian, and I would be crushed if I was to go to Heaven some day and her not be there to greet me. I pray that her body is strong enough to handle this, and if not, that God somehow finds a way to wake her up long enough to ask God into her life. There is power in prayer!

	cacrb 2/12/2004 08:57	Dear Cindy,I too have seizure disorder.Like you it took me years to get the seizures under control,and on the right meds for me.I took part in my "healing"(I still have the condition but don't have seizures all the time).I read up on it,asked tons of questions.See the epilepsy foundation web site.AND Cindy it turns out that after having seizures for38 yrs(onset at 17)I can truly say I'm thankful for them.When all my brothers and a bunch of friends were trying speed and coke etc. I was afraid to try because I saw first hand the trouble it caused regular folks;not to mention a friend who was epileptic.He couldn't remember anything after using.I'm very grateful for my health...and having seizures helped that.Not everything is bad.Smiles,Cheryl

	elizableu34 3/11/2004 10:22	Cindy My heart goes out to you. I pray they let you into Shands. My oldest son, Kyle, was diagnosed with a severe seizure disorder @ the age of 5 months. It was a hard road to travel but we found some respite within friends and support. I pray all will be ok for you. You have my heart's hope- Laura Emeraldeyzz@cox.net
