He is my x-boyfriend

This prayer circle is for my x boyfriend. He has a drinking problem and we split up due to his abusiveness when he drinks.

My boyfriend and I recently split up because he drinks too much and one night he physically abused me while he was drunk. We broke up, he moved out but we still speak. He knows what he did was wrong and he wants to get help for his addiction to alcohol and for his anger. He has asked me to start attending church with him and for my support in his quest for an alcohol free life and a relationship with God. I feel that he needs the help he is asking for and want to be there for him, but I am not sure if he can change. Please pray for him...that he can quit drinking, that he can learn to control his anger,that he can find God, happiness and peace within his self. Also, please pray for me...I need to know that I am making the right decisions in this situation.
