Myself...I love the Lord, but I have recently backslid b/c of an addiction I thought I had recovered from

Please pray for me...I love the Lord but I've recently backslid b/c of an addiction I thought I had recovered from.

I struggled from an addiction to methamphetamines (speed) for 10 years and finally after losing my marriage, home, family, etc., I went to a Faith based rehabilitation center for six months and was clean for almost two years. By the grace of God, I had restored everything that I had lost. Recently, I was faced with temptation and acted on it. Depression came soon after that, and then I lost my job. I feel hopless and ashamed. I don't want to live like this anymore. I want to have the relationship I once had with Jesus and be able to look in the mirror and love what I see again. Please pray for me! Thank you.

	williteverend 7/26/2005 07:35	only you can decide to pick yourself up, and gods mighty hand is there to help you. We all fail as christians so we have to learn to begin again. Babies crawl before they walk, and you will to. First ask god for his forgiveness and then you must forgive yourself. It is satans job to rob us of anything and everything we do to better ourself, yet is gods job (who is more powerful) to help us overcome satan. Guilt is not from god, as I am sure you already know. Begin again..today..and don't look back. Look forward and know that if there is a next time, you will remember to turn to the lord instead of letting the devil trick you into a relapse! I am praying for you...Good luck!!
