My father - a good man with a broken heart

My father is having a hard time dealing with the loss of his life-partner and best friend, my mother

I am asking for prayers for my father, Albert. On July 31st, he lost his best-friend and life partner, my mother. Her passing from this life came as a blessing for me since she had been suffering so for almost 3 years. But, my dad, has not been able to release his grief and rejoice in her passing. A year ago he was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and he kept himself going for my mom, now that she has departed this earthly life, he has lost his love for life. He goes to her grave site everyday and I fear he is forgoing his own medical care. Please help me pray that he can accept her passing as a gift from God. That she is no longer suffering or in pain. And that she would want him to rejoice that she has peace now.

Let Him into your life and let your wife go. She is where she belongs, with GOD. Samantha, even when things look so terribly wrong and suffering is present every minute of the day, GOD is always there to love us and comfort us. Give your father time to heal and keep praying for him. Prayers Do Work. After I lost a beloved one, my suffering went on for years, it did no good to me or anyone else. Ask God for strengh for your father and yourself. He'll give it to you freely. We have but to ask for His Gifts. God Bless you both.

	amber41 8/30/2003 04:38	Dear Albert, One of the most helpful cards that I received in the death of my husband 8/4/2003 was from a couple who had been through this grief in loss of their 1st mates. God loves you and knows your grief. The prayer for to day was very meaningfull. Actually the nights nights are longer, lonelier and worse than the days. May Bless you. (Iwent through this same situation over 9 years ago with my husband .I daily visited the cemetary for almost 4 years,it's a process we go through with for our mates we have had for years i was married for 23 yrs. Each person is different and someday when he feels it right you will see he does'nt go as much anymore. What also helped me is a grief support group too. I lost my nine month old son on August 2,2003 so I too know the pain of grief. God has been my only source of comfort to know that my baby is with the Lord only makes me strive to see the good in every day, I pray that your dad will be able to see that as well and learn to take care of himself, so he can be with his wife again when God is ready, not when he is ready but God.
