I offer a prayer for all who suffer from the disease of alchoholism, that they may grow strong spiritually, realize that they need help and seek it out, that they realize that God is the One at the helm of their lives and they can lean on Him, and that He gives them the physical, mental and spiritual strength to stay away from alcohol, and remain strong in whatever faith they believe in, amen. |

I pray for everyone who suffers from this. My husband is an alcoholic. He just realized it the other day (I did also) when he had an accident and he was drunk. He went to the bar against my wishes (on a weeknight) and stayed out until 12:30am. When we met and fell in love he was so nice and romantic. Shortly after we got married he started being rude and unhelpful to me. After the accident (he asked for help and has not had another drink in almost two weeks) it seems like he is a different person. He helps me with the things around the house. He tells me that he loves me. He has not yelled at me in two weeks. Even though it is costing us a lot of money (legal matters) I know that God will provide us with the basics to survive. Thank God no one else was involved in the accident. He even started going to church with me (his choice). He did the change for himself not for me. God helped him. Thank you God for making sure that no one else was involved in the accident and that he was okay. I thank you Lord for giving me back the man that I fell in love with and alowing us to grow closer instead of farther apart. |

My mother is an alcoholic, and it has been one of her biggest gifts. In seeking recovery, she has found many good friends, a new sense of spirituality, and a deeper meaning to her own life. My prayer for those in active addition is that they too will find peace and light in this hard life lesson, that they will prevail over this disease. Blessed Be. May we all walk in truth, love, and light. |

SOBRIETY IS JUST NOT ABSTINENCE. SOBRIETY SHOULD BE IN OUR THOUGHTS, WORDS, AND DEEDS. |

Alcoholism is not a moral issue, one can take responsiblity for it by living life on a Spiritual Basic. I pray that this light be shown to my child who is God's Child too. |
