a wonderful child who wants to feel complete

I am praying that God will do what is best for my son. My husband wants to adopt him, but Justin may be denied what will matter most to him because of legal matters.

my 9 year old son, Justin, from a previous relationship, has considered my husband as his "real" dad for the past 7 years. My husband and I have 2 sons together since getting married 4 years ago and my husband wants to adopt Justin. Please note that I took myself and Justin out of an abusive relationship when Justin was 6 months old to make a better life for us. Now, after 9 years that the birthfather has not been in contact with Justin (because of prison), the birthfather wants to prevent the adoption from happening. We will be going to the first hearing next month to try to get the birthfather's rights terminated so my husband can adopt Justin. We have had such a wonderful life the past 9 years, now we are terrified that my son may have to be forced to meet someone he does not know, and may eventually be mentally & physically abused. My husband and I, as well as my family have been praying that God will do what is best for Justin. I will be so thankful for any prayers that come our way.
