Prayers for animals... our angels who wear fur, feathers, and fins instead of halos... and animal rescue workers and other animal caretakers... the guardian angels of the animals.

Franciscan Animal Blessing

Blessed are You, Lord God, Maker of all living creatures. On the fifth and sixth days of creation, You called forth fish into the sea, birds in the air, and animals on the land. You inspired Saint Francis to call all animals his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless this animal. By the power of Your love, enable it to live according to Your plan. May we always praise You for all Your beauty in creation. Blessed are You, Lord our God, in all Your creatures! Amen.

	phoenixravenflame 5/2/2003 07:37	Lord, I pray for my cat Merllyn, who is having kittens as I type this... for my cat Scheherazade, who hangs around outside but still won't come home... and for my friend Ann. She has done so much for animal rescue. She has done so much to save so many Shelties. Please heal her since she has had a stroke recently. And for my friend John who lost another furry loved one this year. He has been through so much pain losing them year after year. Please give him some happy time with his animals, Lord, and ease his pain.

	rosiesmama 12/24/2003 16:01	please prayer for our new little kitten rosie. she has the "cat flu" and has not received all her vaccines just yet. we've only been blessed to have her a week, but she is already one of our "kids"....and please pray for all the little animals that don't have a home this holiday season. bless you all and thank you.
