To Ann G, you are not alone. Feel stronger in knowing that fear and anxiety are universal states of being when we become overwhelmed with worries. Take time out to take 3 walks a day if possible. One in the am, before you shower. Stretch and go for that walk. Let the beauty of nature around you soak in. Lunch walk, before or after, to reflect on your own positive self, actions in motion and interactions with people that have been good so far throughout the day. You can make these happen and feel good at whatever level you are functioning at. Feel good about yourself and being alive and having spirit within you, interesting people that you have yet to meet and the beauty of nature around you. Lunch is a time to feed your spirit with food and energy. Feel it heal your worries. Then take your final walk sometime after dinner. Relax, be proud of getting through each hour of the day and know that there is another day tomorrow for beautiful things to happen that you can look forward to. You are not alone. You go on as the world goes on each day. Time is no different for you than the rest of the world. Use each moment to feel healed by all of the existing good in the world. Receive it on a healing plane. Feel nourished, energized and sustained with these thoughts.
Simplify things to take the edge off the financial worries. Reach out to services that will help you and seek their help when in need. That is why they are there. Do not let pride stand in your way. There are lyrics that go like this, "Everybody needs somebody sometimes". That's being human and you are helping another person fulfill their wish if you allow people to offer you comfort when you are down.
Do what you can with what is offered above. This is my way of helping myself. Let some of these techniques help to heal you from the inside out. Take each day one at a time, build on small feelings of being connected with nature, people and the human condition. Reach out to others, read about clarifying your boundaries to protect yourself and remember boundaries are never permanent and you can adjust your boundaries at any time you like. It takes practice and it feels good to clarify where boundaries as needed. You will start to feel more centered and grounded.
