My nephew, USMC, in IRAQ

Father, I come to you praising your holy name and asking you to forgive me of my sins. I pray that you will guide and protect Bret as he faces the unknown dangers of battle. We ask that you defend him as he is defending his country. There are so many (family and friends) here at home that are keeping him close in their hearts. Bless his family as they stand firm knowing that their spirit and souls will only be strengthened by their looking to you for comfort. Protect all our servicemen and women. May our President and our military leaders look to you for guidance. These things we give to you Lord and know that you are in control of all things.

I pray that you let him know that you are with him so he may feel the confidence to face the task that has been placed before him. I pray that his family knows and can rely on the thought that he is in your hands and in our prayers everyday.

Help him to be courageous when necessary and humane when possible against the enemy . Bless our nation, our leaders and all the military and use them all for your glory and honor. Comfort Bret's family as they anxiously await his safe return. Above all, Thy will be done. In Jesus name, we ask these things.
