I would like to share a true story that might encourge others who are alcoholics.
My husband was an alcoholic for about 31 years. He almost died from this problem many times.
I kept praying for him and God would not let me give up on him. Although many times I wanted too and even tried too. Sometimes it got so bad that I would pray for God to kill him. But God knew my heart so He didn't listen to the words coming from my mouth at that time but He did listen to my heart.
After 31 years of praying my husband made the decision to stop drinking and with God's help he has been dry for 2 years now. He is in church and growing in the Lord.
Jesus will finish the good work that He has started in my husband.
Jesus will do the same for you. If you want someone to pray for you just contact me and I'll be glad to pray for you. Just because you have a problem with alcohol doesn't mean that there is no hope. It doesn't mean that God doesn't love you and it does'nt mean that you are so far gone or so bad that God cannot help you.
God can break the stronghold of alcohol on your life and He will if you really want Him too and if you will let Him.

God loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for your sins that you can be saved and delivered by accepting Him as your Savior and letting Him be the Lord of your life.

Dear Lord please keep Bob c strong, let no urge cross his path, I know the destruction this problem can cause, but I've also seen one that's been healed, & I Know the peace of a dry period, I come from a family of drinkers. It is very hard to see the heartache it can cause & the effect on the children who are taught to do the same. Please bless all with this problem heal them who want to be healed & give them the strenght to conquer this problem. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, Amen

I need prayer to overcome alcoholism and to live my life for God again, I'm a born again christian who was sober for nine years but started drinking again and now I'm all messed up. Thank you.

Dear Bob I pray that strenght is with you, may you be blessed with supportive & good friends, may Jesus heal you & surround you in the light of the holy Spirit. Amen

Dear God: I pray for my brother Richard, I don't see him as much as I would like to and Please stay with him and keep him safe. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father, please help my husband with his struggle from alcoholism. He is trying to quit again after a brief relapse. He has been sober for long periods of time, then he thinks he can handle drinking again and getting into a real mess. My husband needs to find the Lord. He is a wonderfull person but has a nasty, cruel side to him when he drinks. I have a cronic illness and find it so very difficult to live in this marriage with his ups and downs. I find it is effecting my health. Please pray for us so that we can find peace in our lives. I pray for all other family members of alcoholics, that they find peace and happiness in their lives.

As a recovering addict and alcoholic who struggled for many years to overcome this dreaded illness, it was NOT until I was actually faced with death that I came to believe, and then I came to understand. To all of you who suffer, or are affected by this dreaded disease, I pray that the Heavenly Father, through the merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus guide you to serenity and blessed assurance. This insidious disease takes us and destroys everything in it's path.
Unfortunately we as practicing alcoholics don't quite get the clear picture oftentimes until it's too late.

Lord Jesus, guide those of us, who need you but for one reason or another are afraid to come to you, the Shepherd, the Healer for our needs. Take us by the hand and reassure us that with Your help, all things are possible. I can't but You can. Take me by the hand and show me that you will be there for me, even at my worst, and remind me that my cross to bear is no greater than the one you beared when you walked on that lonely day to Golgotha with your own cross. Remind me of the loved ones that are here to support me through these tough times, and bring me to a point where I can address my issues, with you and them by my side. Reassure me that I am not an island unto myself, and that asking for help is NOT something to be shameful of. Help me to understand myself and to want to enjoy the rest of my days here on Your Earth. Amen

Please pray for me to know what to do for a man I love who is addicted to alcohol. I need strength to stand by him. I will not give up on him easily, but I need strength.
Please God help me to keep my hope. Please help Rick to see that he is worth loving and he can overcome this addiction.

Dear friends, I am asking for prayers for both of my sisters who are alcoholics. One of them is trying to start a business and the alcohol is getting in her way of the business and many other things "Dawn". The other one lives quite a distance from the rest of the family and I believe she is very lonely."Kayren" My prayer is that God will work in their lives so that they will see they are worthy of love. That they have the strength with God's help to overcome their fears and obstacles. Please keep them safe. Amen

I ask for prayers for a man that I love greatly. He is a recovering alcoholic with many temptations and desires to desires to drink. I wish to marry this man. He has found Christ and has dedicated his life to him, yet he is still struggling greatly from the temptations to drink, reasoning with himself to only drink occasionally which I am sure we all know that that isn't possible for an alcoholic. I hope that you will pray with me that his desires change and that his spirit grow closer with Christ. I pray that for each and every one of the alcoholics in this prayer chain. I pray that they find that the Joy of The Lord will be their strength. I pray that God grant miracles in their lives as they strive to become clean, and I pray that they all realise that they cannot do it. That only Christ can change them.

I also ask that you pray for his recovery from coming off of an extremely high dosage of medication administered by his Dr. that we read up on and have found that such a large dose can be very harmful when coming off the medication. He has had a lot of pain all over body as his muscles ache and exhausted from this physical, emotional and psychological stress. I pray that he be strengthened and that God will bless him for seeking Him. I pray that God will open up his Spiritual eyes so that he may see God's will in his life. I pray this for all of you. God bless you all and pray and pray without ceasing for your loved ones.

I pray that everyone will find peace and joy in their lives. I pray for my husband every day and I support him. I am here to listen and advise. We are a team with God's care. My husband has been sober 8 years after a 20 year battle and countless rehabs. God, I pray, please grant us all the strength. Faith Heals!

Please pray for my husband. He is a wonderful, talented man, who is the grips of this terrible disease. Alcohol is trying to destroy us, and I am fighting back daily. But it is hard, so hard. Dear Lord I ask for your blessings and guidance in dealing with this situation. Please take away the horrible feelings I get when I see that he has been drinking. Almighty Father, please take the taste for alcohol from his lips. Help him, help himself. I pray for all of those who find themselves prisoners of alcoholism. I pray that you find and keep the strength to live free of its hold.

Please pray for my mom who has been fighting this awful addiction for at least 40 years. I just got her out of the hospital. She is poisoning her system and can't realize it. I pray that our Father can put his hand of blessing on her and the others in this prayer circle.

Please pray for me. I am a Christian woman but I am struggling with drinking and smoking. This stronghold needs to be broken! I am 37 years old and have been a Christian for 7 years. Alcoholism runs in my family, so please pray for my sister and my father too. Please pray that the Lord realeases us from this bondage. Thank you all.

Please pray for my dad. He has been an alcoholic for so many years, I can't even remember when it really peaked. He still lies and pretends, I dont know if he ever really wanted to stop. He was sober for 4 months and 2 weeks ago he started again. I keep praying he will stop. Our family has gone through so much already, we have sacrificed, done everything to keep stress away from him and yet he keeps betraying us. We need strength and guidance and more than anything we pray for a change of heart from him, a realization that he is destroying himself and those that love him the most. Please God, work a miracle, a full proof miracle!
