A wonderful man faced with a difficult challenge.

My brother-in-law was in a hunting accident last Monday and he is probably going to lose sight in his right eye. He needs our prayers to give him strength to overcome and gratitude to be alive.

While quail hunting last week, Clint was shot in the face from 40 yards away. He has 1 pellet in each hand, 3 or 4 in his forearm and shoulder, 6 in his face and 1 in his right eye. They will remain where they are because the doctor said it will probably do more damage to remove them. He has already been through two surgeries, but the doctors doubt that he will ever see out of his right eye again. I cannot imagine what it would be like to be in his shoes, but I am so grateful that he is still alive and able to see out of his other eye. He is experiencing some difficulty coping with his situation. Through our prayers I hope that we will be able to give him the strenght to overcome this great obstacle ahead of him. I pray that he will not see the glass as half empty, but half full. He is truly an extraordinary man and I do not understand why this had to happen to him. Please pray for him and his family.

He's a person who has been thanked by my heart for a hundred things, but hardly ever... by my words. And he is an amazing guy who has always been appreciated so enormously, but for reasons that have only been known to me! So, Clint, I thought it might be time to do something about that... I am sorry that I don't tell you more often how much you mean -- and how much you have always meant -- to me. We have a closeness that doesn't need to be measured in miles. Ours is the warm and sharing kind that has always been measured in memories made, reassurance given, and the nicest kind of smiles anyone could ask for. You are a big part of my life, and you always will be. And I don't know what I did to deserve such a great little brother, but whatever it was... 	Beltania 3/9/2003 10:08	I pray that surgery is successful one day soon and that your brother has his sight back in his right eye. But be thankful it wasn't both eyes (if possible)as I just read one of these prayers who a young woman is now blind in both eyes......not that this lightens your brother load at all.....I'm not even sure why I said that. Maybe because I just read her story......anyway, I pray for your brother in laws healing. Blessed be.....

	mountainoma 3/9/2003 10:24	Dear Heavenly Father, Give Clint the peace and assurance that only You can give. Allow him to have a Godly support group that would help him cope with his condition. Thank You for what hie means to so many. Work in his life and the lives of his family so that he and others can surely say that "TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!" Praise the Name of Jesus!!
