merrilin,you obviousley put too much importance and vallue in someone who was undeserving of it. if this teacher was so great he/she would not have been so unprofessional, uncaring, and not have treated you with such total unconcern. you are not the one with the problem. it is your teacher. i think he/she is the one who needs prayer. pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go out there and show them just how great you really are. let god guide you.

Merrilin, I am praying for you. I too have gone through what you are going through, I have been acting for a long time and have had many people try to push me down. You can glorify God by using the talents that He has given you, Satan knows this and will throw anything in your way that he can to try to stop you. Just know this, and pray for the strength to try again though you are scared. I know you can do it. Pray for me too, I am going through the same things.

Merrilyn, no actor worth his or her salt, got to heart of their craft without having something to draw from. Your high school teacher wouldn't be teaching drama if she believed in herself. So please don't give power to her over your belief in yourself. There are so many highly gifted actors out there who rose from just such a crushing incident. Your memoirs will be so much more interesting when you fill in the part about "how you overcame such a dark comment" prior to winning your Oscar.
