Janice L
Mom on a Quest

Looking for a church home that fills needs of self and children.

I was raised in church, small Southern Baptist churches usually, but occasionally, larger, more contemporary ones as well. Though I didn't understand why at the time, I still want my children exposed to people of faith. I also want a church home to call my own.

The problems are posed in part because my son has autism and I would really liker to bring him with me. How else is to know the Lord and receive his blessings if he can't hear of him in person.

I do not however want to sit in the mother's room while service is conducted, while little man bides his time the best way he can. I would like to have him engaged in a children's program which celebrates his challenges instead of merely tolerating his presence. I also would like my daughter (typically developing) to accompany us to the same church.

If this cannot be done, then I pray for some other avenue to open up for my continued walk with Jesus.
