Sheila R
Divorced, lonely, homeless, mother of three, with fibromyalgia needs encoragement

Please pray that the Lord uplifts Sheila up in this very trying time of her life and gives her the strength to go on.

Sheila is a 40yr. old divorced mother of three boys who has recently found herself homeless and broke. She was living with a man who she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with and this morning (11/19) he told her to pack her things and be gone before the end of the week. Sheila has fibromyalgia, asthma, GURD and hypoglycemia, and takes many medications for these illnesses. She is also very depressed as you might imagine. She hasn't had a job for about 2yrs. because of all her health problems. Right now she is thinking of commiting suicide. Please pray that she finds the help she needs and that the Lords gives her the strength to go on.

We're sorry Sheila feels so badly right now. We wish we had more help to offer here, but it sounds as if she would benefit from talking to a caring person who is trained to help. We have three resources she could try. We hope she will contact one of them as soon as possible. She deserves to get help, and to get it sooner rather than later.

1. If she is in the U.S., she can call 1-800-SUICIDE any time, day or night. When she calls this free number, she will be connected immediately to a caring, trained counselor in her region. The sooner she makes this call, the better.

2. If she can hold on for a few days, free anonymous crisis counseling is available by e-mail from an international charity called Befrienders International (known in this country as The Samaritans). If she sends an e-mail to Jo@samaritans.org she will receive a caring response within 24 hours.

3. There is a website she may find helpful, called Suicide: Read This First.

She is in our prayers.

Dear Lord:
I pray that this prayer hasn't reached you too late, as Sheila desperately needed Your intervention and help back in November.
May Your love and strength fill Sheila with love for herself, for life and with strength to go on. May she have also found the proper counseling and financial help needed to pick herself up and build a new life for herself. In addition, may Your mercy have shone upon her to help her deal with her physical ailments and help ease her suffering.
And finally, I pray for her sons as well, that they have the strength to keep their heads up and spirits peaceful during this difficult time in their lives. May their love for their mother and her love for them help strengthen their bond and keep them together.
In Jesus' name I pray.
Amen.
