For my continued abstinence from compulsive eating & other self destructive behavior

Trying hard to establish a connection with my higher power as I try to let go of so much anger from my abusive childhood...anger which prevents me from progressing out of my clinical depression and compulsive eating.

I have had a very difficult time establishing a relationship with God.

I know that my surrender to a Higher Power is vital to my recovery.

A lot of times, things in this life are really too difficult for us to handle on our own. I'm praying for you that you are able to surrender your anger and self-destruction to God, because once you can, it will make all the difference in the world. I promise. I know it's difficult to take that first step, but with prayer and help from those who love you, I know you can. Dear Lord, please help Jenn. Please allow her to know in her heart that You understand her struggle, and that You care very deeply about her pain. Let her feel Your love, and give her hope and the strength she needs to surrender her life into Your very able hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.
