A family coping with college and empty nesting

Mona and Martin's daughter, Tricia. All have been practicing Christians for about four years now.

Tricia is in her first semester of colleg about an hour away from home. She had a very protective upbringing. She has befriended some people who may not be the best influence for her and has been behaving very differently for her. Her parents, Mona and Martin, do not approve of these new friends and are very concerned about Tricia's very abnormal behavior. They are concerned her strange behavior is a sign that she is using drugs. She has admitted to drinking. Along with this, they are trying to cope with their feelings of empty nesting. They need prayer for wisdom and guidance and enduring patience. Tricia needs prayer for wisdom and comfort and guidance. They all need prayer for trust and faith in eachother and strength.

Dear Lord Jesus, please give Mona and Martin and Tricia wisdom and guidance during this difficult time. Please help them work through these difficult times in a loving and productive way. Please give Mona and Martin patience and understanding towards Tricia. And God, for Tricia, help her to find peace and comfort in your arms. Help her to have faith in you and in her family. Please give her the guidance she needs to make the right decisions, the decisons you want for her. Also, please help Mona accept people of different background. Help both she and Tricia to witness to eachother and to these new people in Tricia's life. Help them all to get through these times with love and respect. Through you they can overcome these differances. Help them to keep their faith. Thank you for blessing my life with them and for bringing Martin into our family.
