Dear Lord,
I remember when I was going through the whole not eating anything.. i was very sick, i lost about 13 pounds in 1 week, but Lord you helped me and you made me strong, to fight off what people said about my weight, you made me family strong, and had them help me, so please Lord, im asking you to do the same thing for this young girl.

GOD HELP THIS YOUNG GIRL WITH HER STRENGTH TO KEEP UP WITH HER TREATMENT FOR ANOREXIA. ALSO, SEE IF YOU CAN JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP FOR THIS. LOTS OF TIMES PEOPLE WHO COME WITH AN ABUSIVE BACKGROUND OR ALCOHOLISM DEVELOP ANOREXIA. TRY A SUPPORT GROUP IT HELPS. AFG1986

I will pray every night for this girl because I know exactly how she feels because I'm a teenager and I know how it feels to just want to be skinny. Some times I want to just stop eatting but I know it's the Lord that keeps me from harming myself.

I struggled with anorexia and bulemia from age 17-25. What really helped me get through was a support group, a therapist and support from family and church. I will pray for her because I understand the pain and shame and all the struggles. I am not "cured" but I am not actively hurting myself anymore either. This disease affects everyone and I am thankful we can openly talk about it. When I was twenty I confided in a lady I babysat for, and she helped me to get the help I needed, and it turned out when she was my age in the late 40's help wasnt available and things like this werent discussed. Talk about it and get help. Talking and prayer are the tools needed to get help for this disease. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers. You are not alone.

Dear Father in heaven--Please work in this girls heart to help her build strength from within. I was bulimic from age 13-age 21 and I have recovered fully with the help of the Lord and learning to love myself as the Lord loves me--unconditionally. I have faith this young girl can do the same. Those around her please spread your love to assist her in this time of personal unsureness. Lord--please place your hands on her face and show her what a beautiful child of God she is at all times regardless of weight or anything else. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit I pray...Amen

I was anorexic from age 12 to 16 and still struggle with weight issues. I know how hard it is to start eating again physically and mentally.It isn't easy but it's worth it. I will pray for her every night because God will help her through it. Everything happens for a purpose. I pray that this girls struggles will bring her closer to God.

I am 19 and have been anorexic from the age of 9, bulimic from the age of 15. I struggle everyday but the biggest inspirations to my recovery are people who have already fully recovered. My therapist was anorexic for over ten years and is completely healthy now-- she is a beacon of hope. A women in my prayer group was bulimic until her 30s and is also now completely recovered. Both of them were healed through God's love-- my therapist, as a Sufi (a religion of love related to Islam) and my friend, as a Christian. Don't be afraid to feel God's love in whatever form it comes to you. Stay strong, my dear-- you are not alone.

Lord, I beg you to help this child who has fallen on bad times. PLease Lord, help her to be well again. Give her the stregnth to look into herself and be with her as she heals her wounds. Forgive her for any wrong she has done, for she is confused. PLease show her the way to health Lord.

Prayer is powerful, and when more than one gather together to pray for the same St. Matthew tells us that our prayers will be heard.

Dear Lord, please guide this girl to the path she chooses. her past might not be so inviting, but she needs this help. Give her hope to carry on throughout her days. I know how she feels. i too am anorexic. i too am trying to build myself back up again. dear lord, please listen to our prayers and help us.

HEAR THE CRIES OF YOUR PEOPLE. WE ASK THAT YOU BLESS THIS YOUNG GIRL AND SAVE HER FROM THIS AWFUL PSYCHOLOGICAL DISEASE. WE ASK THAT YOU GIVE HER THE COURAGE TO ACT OUT AGAINST WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT HER AND TO GIVE HER THE SELF ESTEEM THAT SHE SO DESPERATELY NEEDS. LORD, BLESS HER FAMILY. GIVE THEM THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY NEED TO ASSIST THIS YOUNG GIRL WITH HER PROBLEMS. GIVE THEM THE PATIENCE TO STAND BY HER SIDE AND THE CONFIDENCE TO BELIEVE THAT SHE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THIS AWFUL PHASE. I ASK THAT YOU BLESS EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS AWFUL SITUATION AND CLEANSE THE HEART OF THIS YOUNG GIRL. BRING HER CLOSER TO YOU AND HELP HER TO UNDERSTAND HER CALLING IN LIFE. MAY SHE LIVE A LIFE THAT IS CENTERED ON CHRIST AND NOT THE PEOPLE AROUND HER. "BE WHO YOU ARE AND SAY WHAT YOU FEEL, BECAUSE THOSE WHO MIND DON'T MATTER, AND THOSE WHO MATTER DON'T MIND. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU IN THIS STRUGGLE. GOD BLESS YOU AND MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND ALL OTHER PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM THE EFFECTS PEOPLE HAVE ON OUR MINDS. GOD BLESS!!!!! My thoughts & prayers are with this girl. May she someday come to think of food as her friend, to enjoy it, in moderation. Not to get fat, but to have her realize that our body is like a car, if you do not put gas in the car, it will not go, i.e. IF you do not put food in a body, it breaks down.
