United States Armed Forces
Our everyday heroes

We sometimes the people who protect our freedom for granted. They put their lives on hold or in danger just to protect us.

Marcus is a student at my university and a friend of mine since freshman year. He was sent to active duty a few months after 9/11 and only had enough time to tell us that he was leaving before he left for what we presumed was Afghanistan. He did end up in the middle east, but thankfully not in the midst of the fighting in Afghanistan. Today I saw him for the first time in ten months, and I can tell you that I was ready to praise God there on the street.
Marcus is not my only friend who has seen the battle front. Nor is this the first time I have watched a loved one leave and return from battle. I thank god for protecting them all and bringing them home safley. I love you guys, Ken, Marcus, and Ricky.
