I am a recovering drug addict myself, been clean for 10 months and it hasn't
been easy. Something for you to tell yourself everyday, every second, or whenever you need to "No matter what happens, I don't have to use." I know, easier said than done! Call someone, stay active in A.A. and do whatever it takes not to use, its your disease, but its also your choice. Hang in there. I will keep you in my prayers.

I am a recovered addict. It was a very long and hard road. I NEVER would've made it without help from God. It can happen!!! Keep strong and PRAY, REPENT AND PRAY SOME MORE! God Bless

Lord keep this child clean! Be with them all the way to Glorify you. They are a survivor and thrivor with you at their side.

I am the wife of a crack cocaine user. I am trying to be a christain wife and stay with my husband. I have been in constant prayer and fasting for him. He has a drug problem, but at this moment he is still a good person and provides for his family. I am just afraid, because I have seen what this addiction can do. I always feel like the boat will sink at any moment. I know God does not want us to fear and I try to be strong, but I need prayer and the strenght to go on. I am also toiling as to whether I should stay and be supportive or should I get out before the boat sinks. Some of you are recovering addicts, what do you think.

lost at sea

This message is to lost at sea. I to was lost at sea but I prayed and waited, only because I remembered the person I had really married. My husband is now 30 days drug free and I think we can finally put our life back together again. Remember he has to reach a point in his life where he can admit he has a problem. I waited . I will pray for God to give you the strenght you need to go on. The book they gave my husband at N.A.M is called One Day At A Time . I think this also applies to us as well. May God Bless You!

I am not a recovering addict. I am a DELIVERED addict for the past 4 years, yet now am on the opposite side of the addiction. My husband of 6 months has relapsed on cocaine, and I know all to well of the struggles, anger and feelings of betrayal that go with addiction. I pray for you as well as each and every person of not only the addict but the FAMILIES of the addict who are often times forgotten. With prayer we can cure all things. I HAVE to believe this. If god can't do it, nobody can!

I am a wife and mother. My husband and I have been together for 11 years. Over the years, my husband struggled with addiction to cocaine. Eventually, I gave up fighting and arguing with him about this, and ended up joining him in using cocaine. Now, we are both struggling with this debilitatin condition. Both of my parents were addicts, so I know that I made a bad decision. Please pray to give us the strength to continue our quest for deliverance. We talk daily and nightly about this destructive behavior and our desire to live clean and happy. We moved from my home state to another state a year ago, and I lost my connection with my home church and my church family, that's when all the trouble started. Please also pray that we find a suitable church home here in my new state.

In the past four months i have been in possibly the best relationship i have been in, and with the most inspiring person I have met. He has changed me in more ways then anyone has, he has opened my eyes to faith and helped me open my eyes, and accept god. I have discovered a new me. But he suffers from addiction. and addiction has been in my life for as long as i can remember growing up with my mother. I cant say that I am the best because i give into the temptation. I pray for him and anyone/everyone that is fighting addiction. I pray that you/ find the strength with in you and realize you can over come any obstacle because ive seen it be done, many times.

For 36 yrs I have been in 12 step programs, and even today ---right now --if it was not for the grace of GOD, I would not be here.
As a clean and sober member of the earth now, I am so grateful --I am not the old me, I am the new one, and only GOD did that--I really had nothing to do with it.
My feelings about others is --YES!--I will help you --if you want it--I ask, are you done?
Most that want it will get it , and I have found that the willing make it , the defiant ones do not

I've been an addict since I was a teenager. Now I'm 52 and been clean for 2 yrs except on methadone now. I've been in and out of jail and prison all my adult life. Spent 10 flat in TDC and thought I was finally finished with all that when I got clean 2 years ago. Now I have 2 felonies pending because I let my 20 yr old son live here in my house and bring stolen propery from his burglaries into my house (his bedroom). When the police searched my house and found stolen property in his room they charged me with his crimes also. I can't get out of it. My attorney has now told me the state's final offer is 12 mo. in state jail. I go for sentencing in 3 wks. I can't bring myself to go. I know I'll be caught eventually. But I spent all those yrs in prison and just can't bring myself to go to that court date & be sentenced to return to prison. I'm so lost and scared. I finally own my own home and have things & have a new life and here this is happening to me. My parents are in their late 80's and I'm also afraid they won't be here anymore when I get out. My husbands in a nearby nursing home and I'm afraid I'll lose him to his bad health before I get out also. Lose my house, lose everything God's given me due to this. I need strength and lots of prayer and guidance. Please.
