Ian is my 6month old cousin who needs a liver and small intestine transplant

My cousin Ian is 6 months old. He was born 1 month premature and has never been released from the hospital. He was transported by air ambulance to Omaha, NE to be evaluated and placed on a transplant list.

Ian was born with his small intestines outside of his body and had to have all but six inches of them removed. His liver is failing as it is having to do the work of both. He is in such fragile condition and if a donor is not found soon he may not make it. God Bless!

Update 7/24/02

The Lord called Ian home today at 12:01 am. His suffering is now over. My 7 year old daughter said to me today, "Mom don't be sad, you know he is with God, Jesus and all of the angels, they are going to take care of him until his mom and dad get there." Out of the mouths of babes. His parents have had a difficult time through this as well as his older brother. I again ask you to keep them in your prayers as they grieve over the loss of this precious child. He had a tremendous impact everyone around him. Through his ordeal he never stopped smiling and his big brown eyes looked back at you to say he was ok. THERE IS ALSO A PARTIAL DONOR DONATION, IF THERE IS AN INFANT WITH THE SAME BLOOD TYPE A PORTION OF THE LIVER CAN BE DONATED FROM A LIVING DONOR, HENCE THE SPEEDING UP OF THE DONATION. I pray that you will intervien on his behalf and give him the gift of life. His older brother desperatley wants his little brother home with him and so do his parents. They want to be able to hold him, love him and give him all the comfort he needs. I pray that you give comfort to his family and keep their faith alive.
