Pray for these Generations--My Mother and Her Parents

The time when one's parents can no longer care for themselves can be the most difficult in any adult child's life.

My grandfather is incapacitated following a series of strokes. He lives with my grandmother, who refuses to be honest about her own health problems and who also does not want to care for her husband anymore. My mother is their only child, and she is burdened beyond what she can stand by the increasingly impossible demands made by my grandmother. None of us know what to do. My grandparents are not willing to move out of their dirty, inconvenient home or have anyone professional enter to help them. My mother is cracking under the guilt trip that she should be the one to give up her life and care for them.

Whatever faith you are, whatever powers you believe in, I ask you to join me in praying for these generations, and in praying that we might soon find a solution amenable to everyone.
