Trying to get out of a bad, controlling situation. Has an addiction that I don't know how to help with.

Stuck trying to get out of a bad situation from a controlling person. He believes so much in prayer and prays all the time, maybe he needs other prayers. Trying to be a stand-up guy, but keeps having problems because of this other person. Pray that he is able to keep hope and faith that he will get out of his situation. Everytime there is some light at the end of the tunnel, something else happens. He's got an addiction that he needs help with and is causing him not to see clearly. I don't know what to do either. Please help him. I love him so much and want him to be happy.
