May the Great Spirit hold you close. Please know that you are not alone. I, too, am out of work due to "psychiatric problems." I have been diagnosed with just about every psych problem in the past 10 years and have been addicted to prescription drugs (the "non addictive" type!). I have lost jobs, the meagre amount of friends I had, and alienated many family members who solidly believe I should "snap out of it," attributing my problems to intellectual/spritual flacidity. I have attempted suicide 3 times but have found comfort in my relationship with a loving, supportive husband with whom I am blessed, my cats, my garden... but I find myself still paralyzed and sobbing more often than not, much to my chagrin.
I will hang in there. You will too! :)
I will keep you in my prayers, Tracy. We are all fellow travelers; I certainly hope it helps to know that there is at least one other person out there who Understands.
Work will come when you are ready for it. It will come to both of us. We are stronger, more compassionate people for the (at times) overwhelming challenges we face; therefore, ultimately, (IMHO) the contributions we can make to our communities will be that much more Mindful.
We shall overcome. You are NOT alone. (I need to remind myself of that, too!) Please try to treat yourself with kindness. You are loved.

Dearest Tracy: You have already taken the first step in healing by asking for spiritual help. Be kind to yourself, take care of your health, take B vitamins avoid stress. The rest will come.

Dear Tracy, I would like to share a website I ran across about Serenity that is over the counter. I sent the web address to my son who suffers with Bi polar as well. I was diagnosed with bipolar a few years ago, and I was in a similar situation to the one that you are in now. Put you faith in god he will guide you though. You can get through this just like I did. Just it step by step and you will see theres light at the end of the tunnel. You are in my prayers.
