Heavenly father please comfort the parents as they go through this ordeal. Lord we know that everything is your will and you will only give us the best that there is in all things. Please assure them that you are with them every step of the way. Amen

Dear Lord, help these parents feel Your presence upholding them in their grief. Let them recognize Your love as it heals their hearts, surely slower than they would wish, but in Your own time. Thank You for reminding me to be more grateful for my son.

God, you sacrificed your son so that we and our children would transcend physical death. We know that you grieved when he was crucified and that you grieve over all the atrocities done by men - especially in your name. You know and understand grief as you know and understand all. You know best how to comfort these parents. Lift their hearts up to you and fill them with your peace. Your understanding is beyond our human comprehension, but give them the knowledge and faith to endure even that which they can't understand. Let them be aware of you always God, and help them to remember that your Love is Life than can never really be taken away.

i lost my 6yr old daughter to a drunkdriver.injured my huband and 2 remaining daughters bad.thankyou for your prayers and may god bless you as well.

Shaner - Thank you for all your prayers and kind thoughts. I know we will emerge from this 'dark place' we are in with the help of God and many prayers from people, such as yourselves. I know my son is with God, but the pain and void left behind is still very raw. ladyskid, I am so sorry for your loss. Such a terrible tradegy to lose our children. May God in His goodness help your family also through this.

I too lost a child, my son Eric. He was only 10 years old.I need your prayers desperately, I am so sad and have lost all joy in my life. I will remember you in my prayers!

ncgrammy - Thank you for your prayers. I don't know how long it has been since you lost your beloved Eric, but I do know of the sadness you speak of. It seems to be the only thing in our lives that remains - the hole that is left by our children's death seems so large. Nothing can fill the void left behind. You wonder how other people can laugh, enjoy life, have fun, while we're in such pain. I can only tell you that with God's help and the prayers of many, one day you will emerge from this sadness and although nothing will ever diminish your love and missing of your Eric, you will once again enjoy life and experience it in a new way. I pray for you and yours. Joy will come back into your life, give yourself time, but realize that we are ever changed by this devastating event. Keep the faith!

I had a daughter die at the age of 18. It is going on the 6th anniversary of her death. It has been a hard six years;but we have fumbled through the fog. To all who have lost a child recently my prayers are with you because it is the worse pain anyone can ever feel. But remember the fog does lift ----slowly and you will resume your life again even though it will never be the same again. Peace and forgiveness be with all of you. Mistywine

mistywine - Iam so sorry for the loss of your beloved daughter. Thank you for your kind words. Someday I hope and pray the 'fog' will lift' as you say, but I know now that our lives are forever changed by our son's death. We miss him so much, his death has left a big void in our lives. I am so sorry for your loss. I will remember you and others on this page in my prayers. I very nearly lost my son at the age of three. He is now eighteen but, the trauma has never really left. My heart goes out to you.

With all my love and sympathy for the loss of your son. I to know your pain. On August 12th, 2000 I lost my 23 year old son Josh also known by many as "Open Smiles". I live every day with the happy memories of the love and happiness that he provided unconditionally to so many. He traveled for the last five years and I seldom was able to see him. He was a nature boy living and continually learning his spirituality. He was loved by so many in his travels, and the stories of many are so uplifting. He often provided natural healthy food kitchens to the homeless. I have finally started to enjoy life again, but have an ache in my heart that will never go away.I miss him and the love we shared here on this earth. I seek answers for the understanding of Josh's spirituality to know why he left this world. Love to all and god bless.

My son was killed 6 weeks ago in an automobile accident.....I am devastated and lost without him. His birthday was yesterday and he would have turned 16. Please include us in your prayers. We will pray for you and know the pain you feel. I have found God to be the only comforter in this ordeal, and hopefully through prayer, we will continue to heal.

My daughter died last year of cancer at age 35 she left her 2 children age 8 and 16mo. we all miss her very much. We are finding it very hard to make it thru this ordeal, and hopefully through prayer, we will make it thru.

My prayers go out to all of you whose children have passed on. Take solace in the fact that God smiles on children and takes them to be with him. Three young women, ages 16, 17, & 20 have died in automobile accidents in the last 2 days in my community. Please pray for their families. I can't stop thinking about them, and every time that I do, I say a little prayer. I also thank God for my children and pray for their safety. God bless you all.

fiffi9 - I am so sorry for your loss of your precious son. His birthday must have been very difficult to handle. The loss of a child is the most devastating thing a Parent can go through and my heart goes out to you and your family at this time. Thank you for your prayers and I will definitely pray for you and yours at thismost terrible time for you. The only advice I can offer right now is to ask God to help you with the pain, for it is too hard to go it alone. I hope you have support of friends and family also at this time. ezgonanacarolyn - I am truly sorry to hear about your daughter. Yes, you must miss her terribly, I know how much I miss my son. But to leave two small children! That is so heartbreaking. My son wasn't married and had no children. It must be of some comfort having your grandchildren, for they are a part of your beloved daughter. Yes, it is very difficult, but talking about it with others helps and I know that my faith has brought me this far. I also joined a Bereavement Group and that helped me along. Having faith and belief truly helps. So young, these young girls in your community! It will be so hard on their parents. You know your prayers help and I hope the community is rallying around them. My heart and prayers go to each of you for your tremendous loss. Like many of you, I, too, lost a daughter at age 19 in a United plane crash 11 years ago. The pain never goes away but with God's help and strength we manage to make it day to day. God bless each of you and you will be remembered in my prayers.
