Adi Avitan
IDF soldier kidnapped by Hezbollah


Adi was born on 12/27/79 in Tiberius.He is the son of Zipora and Yaacov, the third of 4 sons. Adi studied at Mekif Amal High School, where he met his girlfriend Oshrat, of the past 3 years. Upon graduating he enlisted in the Combat Engineering unit.

On Saturday, 10/7/2000, Adi went on routine patrol on the Lebanese border with his friends Benny Avraham and Omer Suad. During this time they were wounded by terrorists and held hostage; with no information given either to their families, the UN or the Red Cross. Pray for their safe return to their loved ones.
