Employment and Financial Security over Sixty

It is very difficult to find employment when companies close and projects are terminated. Making it more complicated is being fairly close to retirement age, even when early retirement is not being requested.

Dear Lord of us all, Please be with us as we gather around Stan, praying for a miracle in finding employment. A Senior Engineer is sometimes seen as a luxury for a company, and these are hard times. With all his experience, he has been perceived as "over qualified". Please calm our fears, for COBRA will be cancelled soon. We must have coverage of some kind. Please help us to be safe, Lord. Please keep us filled with trust that you love us and will take care of us. Bless all who are unemployed at this time. We know there are so many.

God bless Stan in his search for employment and please help his family get the insurance coverage that they need. Help employers to recognize the talents and skills and experience he can bring to the workplace and help Stan to remember that he always has something to offer no matter what happens in his search. Please fill him with your hope and belief so that he does not grow weary from knocking on doors. Amen
