Mother and friend

This prayer is for my mother who is battling with severe maniac depression, unemployment after over 20 years as a teacher, and just yesterday she lost her friend and 4-legged companion of 8 years, Peter Pan.

My mom spent the greater part of her life as a teacher in the middle school grade levels. But now her school has made it impossible for her to move on with her life and regain her dignity. Her losses have been great and now she has lost her cat after 8 years. It was so sudden, she had no idea he was sick. He cried out to her just before he fell off to his eternal sleep. Now her guilt is if she could have helped him. I pray that she finds peace in her grief over Petey, and discovers that he no longer feels pain. He loved her for who she was and became her reason for going home at the end of the day.
I pray that she finds happiness in a new career that gives her joy beyond her belief. She has worked hard to please others and deserves to feel pleasure in doing what makes her happy. I pray that her court case becomes the precident for employers everywhere to treat ALL disabilities with care, even if they can't see them. Amen.

I will pray for your mother with all my Heart, I lost my best friend of 19 years last March her name was Buffy and she was a small poodle. When my husband left me after 31 years she was always by my side no matter what and when I lost her last march I never thought I would get over it, But God took care of Me, I never wanted another pet to take her place because she had been with me so long and I felt like I would be betraying her, but I think she took care of me I know have a Yorkie name Dixie and a English Bulldog named Bertha in my life and although there are days when I feel a deep saddness for buffy and miss her I know God let me have her longer than most people get to have a dog! I also so have Lupus and get down and depressed sometimes, so you go out and find your mom a new dog even if its a mutt and even though she thinks shes not ready for a new dog in her life, it will fill a empty void for her. I will pray that your mother finds peace in her life and a new companion because I Know how much love a dog can bring you and help all the lonliness. God Bless you and your Mother and I will be praying for you every day. Susie (buff19)
