Requesting prayer for financial difficulties, job difficulties and their affect on family and guidance on future goals, decisions and employment.

Please pray that finances and sources of income will be increased so that bills and obligations can be met. If this recent hardship is an indicator for a time of change in employment and/or self, that his talents and confidence be increased so that he may have the courage to move forward, so that he may provide a house and home for his family, find his "True" destiny and may find the songs of his heart.

Thank-You and may God Bless...

I prayed this prayer a few days before Christmas. Little did I know that the answer would be swift in coming. My company had already decided to terminate me from my position and place me in a lower wage position. I had been in a position that required long hours, weekends and a 24/7 commitment. I had always been available but was asked to relinquish my position and leave the department I had help create. Still, I believe that God has led me to this point and though I know I will face struggles that his true will for me will be revealed. I will continue to report on this in the hopes that it will enlighten and inspire. For now I am glad that I still have employment and a loving group of friends and family. Praise the Lord o my soul.....

It has been two weeks since I have changed my position. In and of itself it has been a positive experience. I was fortunate enough to not burn any bridges with former employees and I am applying the 110% rule when doing my job. To my surprise, so far my work seems to be appreciated by both my new boss and fellow employees, to which I am thankful. In addition, I have seen two weeks of beautiful sunrises and sunsets on my way to and from work and have had dinner with my family for more than two days in a row for the first time in seven years. I will admit that I am very nervous about my reduced salary and applying that to my new situation. If you read this please pray that I might find direction and guidance. My wife and I were working to buy a home in a better neighborhood in which to raise our children. For now we have put those plans on hold. Freinds and family have been suportive and I am continuing my technical training so as to be ready for any new employment opportunities. I have placed many resumes but have not yet had any interviews. I will continue to do so trusting that for the time being my best option is to be patient and wait for what God is doing. This has been an experience in which I have learned so much in a very short period of time. To be Thankful for what God has given, especially family and friends. To look at the day and see all the miracles that make it up that I missed when I was so busy. Realizing that I have made bad choices and that part of being an adult is finding out you don't have all the answers and most importantly, that giving God control over your life is a much better plan than anything you or I can think of. Also that God's grace is both good and sufficient....

What a devestating weekend this has been. We have looked over our finances and realize what we may possibly lose. I cannot believe I could be so foolish and I feel so abandoned. Today I felt as if God was so far away. I don't see how we will make it through all this without exploding. We are people who have tried so hard. We are people who have tried to do good but it seems that we are predestined to fail. It hurts so much to think of the impact that this will have on my marriage and children. I have cried much lately and I pray to God for relief and mercy.

Today I prayed for another man and his family that I believe are experiencing the same situation as myself. I offered a prayer for him and asked him to join me for recovery from the burdens we are under. The people who had responded to him lifted me up as well as my heart was very sadenned today. I pray that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel and that this is not in vain. Please pray with me for a man named James and his family tonight. May God grant them rescue from their burdens...Amen!

Its been a while since I have written. I wish I could say that I have found all the answers or that extreme good fortune has found me. Unfortunately, life is not that easy. I have found though that the love of friends and family are better than any other gift in life. While I still struggle, I have found just when I am ready to give up or think things are helpless there is some miracle that happens to keep things going. And from the number and nature of them I know I am very blessed. On the job front, while I am still working for the same employer, I have been offered an opportunity from another employer (and friend). While it shows much promise there is also much risk as part of my salary will be tied to a commision/draw situation. I have never been in this situation before so I am not sure of which way to go. I pray and hope you will pray with me, that God illuminate my path so that I may best serve Him and provide for my family.
