Young son fighting a substance abuse disease

I wish to plant a seed of hope and healing to be grown through the prayers of all those who know the suffering and struggle of addiction and the destruction it causes to all who are touched by it.

I desparately need prayers for my son Derrick who continues to fight for his life against the evil of heroin. His body and soul are being debilitated by this poison and I pray that the Holy Spirit fills his soul with light and strength to fight against the cravings that overtake him. Please pray with me also that the world will support him rather than condemn him so that he can regain his pride as a human being fighting a disease he had no idea would overtake his life. Please God have mercy on my son and all those children who are now afflicted with this sickness. I would be grateful for any prayers sent on his behalf.

	Jade705 2/7/2002 19:09	Lord, please bless Derrick and allow him to continue with his life and not be stuck in the horrorible world of substance abuse. Please help him to find courrage to fight the evils of drugs and help him to find peace through God. God bless your family and God willing, your son will recover soon. God made substance abuse a disease, not a form of evil. God bless all these people that suffer from abuse and hope society will accept them, as they are prone to mistakes too. Peace be upon all the children of the world.
