A.A. Prayer Circle

This is prayer circle for AA memebers who are beginning or working with their Third Step. Prayers of encouragement, or of spiritual experiences are welcome!

This is a prayer circle that I hope will help both myself and other alcholics and/or addicts turn their wills and lives over to "God as we understand Him". I included the cross because that ia how *I* understand God. All beliefs are welcome here, though! My current experience is that I'm still taking my will back, so that's why I'm praying that we all can yield our lives, more and more, to the God of our understanding.

	LJL0504 1/6/2002 15:04	I pray for my husband who is an addict, who did good and stayed clean for 5 months after he got out of jail for 2 years. Ipray that he will find God and stay away from the drugs. and that our marriage of 9 years will last. Thank you God for taking care of and protecting him, because i know you are the one who has been with him.

	dserrano 3/30/2004 18:25	I would like prayers for my boyfriend, who after not using for almost 3 years, went back. We met 2 years ago and I love this man. We met in church, so I thought that he was God sent. I'm confussed. I thanked God everyday for him, since my ex husband was never nice to me, so I thought that finally God heard my prayers and that he was going to give me a better husband. My boyfriend loves church; he's embarrased that he went back to drugs and called me over the weekend to tell me that he needs GOD and that he went into a program for 2 weeks. He was supposed to go to church on Sunday; today is Tuesday and I haven't heard from him. The Pastor's wife told me on Sunday that she dreamed of him being in church. I hope God listens to everyone that's praying for him. HE told me also that he's embarrased about going to church. I told him that he shouldn't feel that way. I just hope that he comes back and that this time he learned his lesson and that he will never go back to that evil world of drugs. Somehow, I have faith that God let this happen for the best. That he's going to turn this negative situation into something positive and this time he will be helping others and giving testimony (he wants to be a counselor). Amen!
