My grandfather

My family has just discovered that my grandfather has cancer in a number of his major organs.

I want to ask for your prayers for my grandfather, that God will end his pain and bring him home to Him, and also pray for strength for the family he will leave behind. Especially my grandma and his wife of 51 years. Please pray that God gives us courage to face this time of struggle , and the reassurance that Jesus has already conquered death.

	faiths_fire7 12/3/2001 20:19	Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for the beautiful times You have given Crystal and her family with Peter. Even though death is a bitter trial to face, they will have those memories to smile about and rely on for peace. I ask in the name of Jesus that You help this family cope with Peter's death when the time comes. Lead them to You for comfort and solace, especially Grandma. Let his final days be met with peace--ease his bodily discomfort. Thank You Lord for being our strength when we feel as though we have none left. In Jesus' name, amen Crystal I know the sadness you are feeling. My grandma is in the advanced stages of emphysema, and with every day that passes I get scared for the time I know is imminent. But I know we have Jesus' promises to rely on for comfort, and although we feel the pain of them being gone, we know that they will forever be without pain from that day on...amen!

There is such faith and strength in your prayer and I wish you God's love and peace during this difficult time. I lost my father to cancer and knowing that he was no longer in pain brought us great consolation. Stay strong.
