Recent loss of job.

We should pray, not only for my friend, but for the growing number of people who have lost and are losing their jobs daily.

Even those who feel they are very secure in their jobs cannot take this gift from God for granted. We must all be humbly thankful for the sub-source (since HE is the source) of our income. We must not have a smug or complacent attitude. Times were already bad before 9/11. Companies are laying off and firing for less reasons, just to cut overhead.
"Gracious Father, I ask that you help my friend Geoff find an even better job. As he was released without notice, the task is more difficult. Sadly, even as we pray, others are losing their jobs . We speak peace and prosperity through the abundance of your mercies for all faced with this death-like crisis,
