Melissa is a 20-year-old college student who is pregnant.

Melissa is 5 months pregnant with a boy. She has a supportive family who she will move back in with in a few months. The father has decided that he doesn't want anything to do with the child (please pray for him too).

When Melissa discovered that she was pregnant, she contemplated abortion. She believes that she is way too young to have a child and wants to stay in school - all the way through med school. She set up an appointment to get an abortion, thinking that she was only a little over 2 months pregnant. When she went into the clinic, they did the sonogram and she discovered that she was almost 5 months along. And she could not go through with the abortion (Thank God). She is now planning on moving back in with her parents next semester and will be transferring to a junior college. The baby's father is still trying to talk her into getting an abortion.
Please pray to give her the strength to have this baby, to give her the hope that she can lead a successful life with a child and to give her a more positive outlook on life.

	vries 1/14/2002 12:04	I will pray for Mellisa for strength. The greatest gift is a child to be born. Even if the father doesn't want it (I will pray for him). She needs to know she can still make her dream come true. She has a supportive family that will help her through, she is very lucky. I pray she feels God comfort. Amen.

	Judobie 2/13/2002 02:16	I pray to the Lord that Mellisa will find the strength to give her baby up for adoption if she does not feel it is time for her to raise a child. I can tell you I have two adopted childen who are now adults, recently my son searched for and found his birth mother. They have a wonderful relationship and I am very happy for the both of them. It is a wonderful gift to give to a couple who would otherwise not have children. You are young and there is still much time for you to have a family. Please do the right thing for your child, the Lord will bless you.
