FAITH AND LOVE
Faith and Love Prayer Circle

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ.

The Faith and Love prayer circle was created out of my desire to have a more committed prayer life. I hope that you will feel the comfort of knowing that many will join you in your own prayer concerns; I know I feel an incredible sense of peace, knowing others love me enough to actually pray for ME! Wow.

Our Motto.... PUSH! (Pray until Something Happens!)

We all need a little push from time to time, right?

Join us for an awesome prayer adventure!
May God Bless US Indeed!

Hi friends! I hope you will have the courage to join us in this awesome experience. I have two urgent prayer requests....

Please pray for Lynn, who was recently diagnosed with a brainstem tumor. Pray that she is reciving the best possible medical care and that God will give her and her family the courage and strength she needs to get through this time of trial. We also ask for prayers of complete healing for Lynn.

Also, please pray for Linda, who is struggling with a serious illness. Pray that her children will be in good care while she is in the hospital and I ask for prayers for healing for her.

This was written by a retired minister/missionary from Carrollton Tex. Rev.
E.C. Chron
Billy Graham - Sept. 14, 2001

On September 14, 2001, for the first time in history, one man (Billy
Graham) spoke the Gospel to the entire world at the same time. He gave the
sermon at the National Memorial Service and was broadcast on every major
television station in the U.S. and by satellite to the world.

Every country in the world received this broadcast...and because it was a
Geo Political event, every leader watched and heard it translated into
his/her language. Many preachers have their messages broadcast in other
countries and carried around the world, but this is the first time that the
entire world listened to the Gospel preached at one time. The World and all
its leaders tuned in and heard the gospel. Never before has one individual
preached to the leaders of the world and their country at one time!!

Mark 13:10 - And the Gospel must first be preached to all the nations.

Matthew 24:14 - And this Gospel of the King shall be preached in the whole
world for a witness to all the nations and the end shall come.

Romans 10 - whole chapter - particularly verse 18.

My read on this is that through Billy Graham today, Biblical prophecy was
fulfilled. As I listened to him today, I was in a store that had the entire
service broadcast throughout every speaker in the store's audio system. It
was on virtually every TV and radio station and people across America held
hands and wept before God. It is my personal belief that the Holy Spirit
came upon Billy Graham just as it did upon John the Baptist announcing the
Kingdom of God is at hand. I also believe that this is the most significant
prophecy to be fulfilled since Israel became a nation in 1948.

Agree or not, it was staggering to hear this today. Jesus tells us often,
to watch and "take heed, keep on the alert, for you do not know when the
appointed time is." Mark 13:33.

Just thought you might want to watch and keep alert! I was sure you would
find this interesting. Hope you are having a great day in the Lord.

I am available Lord to be used by You each day.
Guide me, precious Lord, and lead me in what I say and do.
May my words and actions be a witness that You are living in me.
To the one that is lonely, may I be a friend.
To those with heavy burdens, help me to meet their needs.
Lord I do not want fame or fortune.
My prayer is that You will use me to glorify your name.
I know I don't have much to offer, but I will give You my
all.
Guide me to be what You want me to be.
Amen

May today there be peace within you.

The IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER

In Ephesians 6:18 we read the words which put the tremendous importance of prayer and overwhelming force:

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."

When we stop to weigh the meaning of these words, then note the Connection in which they are found, we as believers can only say:

"I must pray, pray, pray! I must put all my energy and all my heart into prayer. Whatever else I do, I must pray."

Why is this constant, persistent, sleepless overcoming prayer so important?
1. Prayer is God's appointed way for obtaining things, and the great secret of all lack in our experience, in our life and in our work is NEGLECT of prayer.

Read James 4:2....these words contain the secret of the poverty and powerlessness of the average Christian...neglect of prayer.

More to come.... hope you are all praying, even if you haven't yet submitted a prayer concern to the website.

Blessings of God be Yours this day!

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER-part 2.

2. The men that God set forth as an example of what HE expected Christians to be---the Apostles, regarded prayer as the most important responsibility of their work.

It is evident from what the Apostle Paul wrote to the individuals as well as to the churches, that much of his time was spent in prayer.
Romans 1: 9-10 "God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you."

Ephesians 1:15 "For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers."

Other verses for you to read: Colossians 1:9-10; 1 Thess. 3:10 and
2 Timothy 1:3.

All the mighty men of the God have been men of prayer. They have had many differences, but in the matter of prayer they have all shared the same link.

Have you spent enough time with HIM today?

Love you all....more to come on the importance of prayer. And I'm anxious for your contributions, thoughts and prayer needs.....

The Importance of Prayer--part 3

Prayer in the name of Jesus Christ is the way Jesus himself appointed for his disciples to obtain fullness and joy.

Jesus tells us in John 16:24 "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

Who of us doesn't want to have our Joy Complete? Why is it that prayer in the name of Christ brings such completeness of joy? When we ask something definite of God and he provides, we are brought directly into communion with Him!

Prayer, in every care and anxiety and need of life, with thanksgiving, is the means that God has appointed for our obtaining freedom from all anxiety, and the peace of God which passes all understanding.

Phillipians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This one is pretty simple... be careful for nothing, or in nothing be anxious. Well that is easier said than done, isn't it? But we forget this part... InEVERYTHING by prayer...with Thanksgiving, we are to let our needs, wants, concerns, requests be KNOWN to God. If we keep in constant contact with Him, what will the result be? The result is "the peace that passes all understanding which will guard our hearts and THOUGHTS in Christ Jesus."

Some of us let our hurried, busy lives dictate our priorities.... and what an incredible waste of time and energy. We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but Jesus wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there's nothing else we can do, but really we should be praying before we do anything at all! Remember, if it's something that you care about, if it's a need, or a concern.... we should not be hesitating to talk with Him about it!

God Bless You all!

Friends, please pray for 4 year old Zachary. A year ago Zach was diagnosed with a tumor on one kidney, had surgery and chemo and the prognosis looked good. However the chemo didn't take and
this summer they opted to a trial chemo study. Yesterday Amy and Scott
sent an e-mail saying that Zach's last CT came back grim, the tumors
have grown back and the chemo doesn't seem to be working. (Submitted by Claudia).

Heavenly Father, we pray for Zach's healing, and for strength of spirit and might for his parents as they courageously help him through this battle! Father we ask humbly for your healing touch; we ask that you keep Amy, Scott and Zach close in the palm of your hand, giving them strength and comfort in this journey. We pray that they would trust in you and that your mercies would be granted to this family. Father, we ASK, knowing that your Will shall be done; we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Friends, please lift Angela and her family in prayer! Here is her story. Thanks for being faithful to our prayer circle... I know you will be blessed for your committment to praying for others!

"My husband lost his job, I'm a student and full time mother. Our problems seem so trivial compared to those that many others have, I just don't seem to be coping with it all very well. My moods are horrible and I've lost my faith that God will see us through this hard time. I feel like we're losing everything and all because I don't know how to handle the pressures put on us right now. We need our financial security, our emotional security and we need me to handle our budget better than I did in the past. Please pray for me and my family. That I will trust God in this difficult time and that he will see us through it. I need to be a better wife and mom, more supportive and my husband needs a job. i feel like I can handle no more. I just want God to hear my prayers. "

Diligence

There are many goals that we want to achieve -- better grades, lower
weight, a place on an athletic team, success in business, greater Bible
knowledge, a closer relationship with God. The question is, "Are we
willing the put forth the necessary effort to achieve our goals? Are we
truly willing to do anything?"

I heard once about a Christian who approached a great man of God (I
believe it was Gus Nichols) and said, "I'd give my life to know the
Bible as well as you do." His reply was, "That's what it took." We
want the end result, but we often don't want to put forth the effort to
achieve that result.

Paul exhorted the young man Timothy with these words: "Be diligent to
present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15).

The word "diligence" suggests a great deal of effort and dedication on
our part. May God grant you the strength to accomplish your goals as
you supply the diligence.

Have a great day

The Living Water

A little wave was bobbing along in the ocean, having a grand old time. He is
enjoying the wind and the fresh air, until he noticed the other waves in front of him, crashing against the shore.

"My Goodness, this is terrible!" The wave said. "Look what is going to happen
to me!"

Then along comes another wave. Seeing the first wave, looking grim, and it said to him, "Why do you look so sad?"

The first wave answered, "You do not understand! We're all going to crash! All of us waves are going to be nothing! Isn't it terrible?

"The second wave replied, "It is you who does not understand. You aren't a
wave, you're part of the ocean."*

When we shift our focus from God to the world, we become a mere wave. Sometimes, we soar up high by world's respect and compliments. Other times we
are rolled deep down by disappointments and feelings of worthlessness, and
still other times, we crash at the shore of sin and vanish by death.

We become helplessly led by the world's winds of social acceptance or acquisition by any means. But when deeply rooted in Jesus Christ, we become
part of "the Living Water" (John 4:10). As "living" water, we may experience
emotional or physical waves, but we are strongly cushioned by Jesus' peace,
grace and care. We become the light and salt for the world.

"The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God
lives forever." (1 John 2: 15, 17) Rejoice - you belong to The Living King of Kings. You are His own child and will never be forsaken.

Angela, please keep us posted as to how you and your family are doing and know that we will faithfully keep you all in our prayers.

WWJD: We will gladly pray for you and your daughter's.

Servant, thank you for your wisdom and teachings.

Father, I ask for your blessings on my family. Please keep Michael in your tender care, lifting him to a place where he is successful in his business and able to glorify you through his work. I pray that he will continue to grow in his faith and that you will reach out to his heart and let him feel your power and presence during this difficult time. I give glory to you Fahter God, for all the mercies you have shown us. Thank you for the blessing of reconcilliation and forgiveness between my best friend and myself. Thank you for your awesome presence in Mom's life and for bringing her back to you through the power of answered prayers which witnessed deeply to your faithfulness. Thank you for protecting my niece from a potentially dangerous and life changing situation. I pray that she will continue to trust others, but will wisely move forward in the development of those relationships, understanding that danger is present in our world. Keep her and her sister's safe from evil, opening their eyes to what is necessary, while keeping them sweet in your LOVE. Father, I ask for your blessings on Danny's venture; praying that he will have the courage and motivation to keep pushing forward.
Father, I thank you for the awesome privelege and blessing of being given two of the sweetest children to love and raise. I ask for your guidance and wisdom as I teach them daily. Give me patience and understanding to the needs of their little hearts. Help me to be the kind of example that would be pleasing to You dear Lord. And finally, I ask for your wisdom in knowing where we should be worshipping. You know the burden that is on my heart and I am asking for your clear answer to this troubling situation. Father, I give glory to you and all that you do. I ask all these things in the name of our precious savior, Jesus Christ.

Amen

P.U.S.H. What a beautiful concept...
On Nov. 15th I will be standing in a court room 200 miles from home, with my daughter. She will be asking to move with her two children, closer to home, a different state from her ex-husband, the children's father. For 5 years she has had no family with in 5oo miles of her. She is becoming depressed and feels very abandoned. I'm asking for prayers, to our Lord, to give the judge a wise, sympathic heart in her plea. I've been asking everyone I know, who has faith, to pray with me. I found this site in my search for answers from God... Please pray for a poitive out come of this court hearing for my daughter and grandchildren... thank you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

--Proverbs 3:5-6
New International Version

THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S VERSE...
When things are tough, I find it easy to call on God and lean on his mercy and grace. He's my ripcord Savior. But I must confess, when I'm reveling in his blessings and things are
going well, I am so much like the Israelites and forget to acknowledge that all the blessings I have and all the opportunities I have received come because of his grace. In my joy and success, I need to learn to acknowledge him!

MY PRAYER...
Gracious Father, every good thing I have in my life has come because of you. The family I have been blessed with, the protection I have received, the values that I hold, the successes I have enjoyed, the hope I have, the salvation I have received, and the future I anticipate are all mine because of your grace and not my goodness. Thank you! Thank you!
Through Jesus I thank you more! Amen.

Thank you for allowing us a forum to express our prayers and thoughts. Thank you for being the Father of the universe and for loving each and every one of us. Thank you for today. Father I come to you now asking that you grant each reader a double portion of your loving kindness and grace. Bless them beyond understanding. Heal each one and forgive each sin. Father we thank you in advance for what you will do and we thank you for all that you have already done. Now Father I ask that you send a cast of ministering angels to each subscriber and touch each heart with your purity and love.

Greetings God -- Thank you for all the many blessings you have bestowed upon me and my family and dear lord I pray that you help answer the many prayers you hear today and everday. I am requesting more help than ususal dear Lord, as i have lost my job and am looking for the path you are leading me to now. Things were looking so good for me were I was though I did question it because it did almost seem good to be true. I worked hard to make things better for all those involved and believe I did that and my biggest mistake was in trusting people, which cost me my job, but hopefully that will be all. I pray for guidance in finding another job and help in clearing up our debts. Thank you for the strong support I have received from my family and friends. Bless us oh Lord, my former co-workers, upper administration, family, friends and our world in this time of trouble. take care and thank you.
