Bless this ground on which I step
May I learn from its strength

Bless this air in which I breathe
Even though there is a deep void
today
May I learn from it how quickly we can fill that void with sustenance, good health and hope

Bless the calm waters
May I bask in their everlasting peace

Bless the sun
May I feel its warmth and love
Providing for all
Regardless of one's religion or country-of-origin

Bless this earth
May I learn from it unity and support
How all of humanity is connected
by a single threat of
love,
belief,
hope,
and responsibility

We are all children of G-d

I don't think you can take the primate out of man, so thank goodness God's very nature is forgiveness. Maybe He can dwell in the primates? ;-) Dear God: Make us worthy to pray to You, as we have over and over, for peace. Bring us out of spiritual greediness and pride and help us to make Your will our will and Your nature our nature, as best we can. Teach this family of billions of squabbling spiritual teenagers what tolerance means. Please forgive us our destruction thus far and give us the insight to stop destroying. Most of all, please listen to the prayers being said and written, for peace, all over the world right now, because no human in their right mind wants to suffer. Have mercy on us, on all "sides", as there must be a piece of You in everyone. Help us to see it, please, before we kill it! Amen.
