A circle for a mother who is addicted to cigarettes & alcohol. And the daughter who is in the midst of this behavior.

My mother drinks to excess and smokes and has for years. May she see the error of these activities and have the courage to change. She has faith in the Lord but has yet to put it into action. This prayer circle is to invoke an active spirit of worship.

For the Holy Spirit to be invoked and bind the demons which drive the spirit of self-destruction within those who smoke, drink or whatever self-effacing activity that separates them from self-love and the love of God.
Happily I recover.
Happily my interior becomes cool.
Happily I go forth.
-My interior feeling cool, may I walk.
-No longer sore, may I walk.
-As it used to be long ago, may I walk.
-Happily,with abundant dark clouds, may I walk.
-Happily with abudant showers, may I walk.
- Happily, with abundant plants, may I walk.
-Happily, on a trail of pollen, may I walk.
-Happily, may I walk.
-May those living in addiction learn to walk.

	marahet 9/17/2001 20:39	Heavenly Father, I ask that You intercede on behalf of this mother. Remove the need for alcohol and cigarettes in her life. Open her eyes to the pyhsical destruction she is causing in her own life and the emotional devastation she causes for her family that stands by and watches helplessly as she indulges in these excesses. Remove whatever pain or dysfunction that leads her to need these crutches as she goes through her day to day existence. Let her reach for You the next time she feels the urge to drink or smoke. Let Your love be the only "crutch" that she needs to get through the day. Father, I ask that You cleanse this woman body and soul and let her be covered in Your glory. Amen. Terrilee - Thank you for your lovely prayer for Danielle and for myself. I really am thankful to have guardian angels like you stopping by every now and then. It reminds me constantly of God's love. Again, thank you.

	faiths_fire7 9/26/2001 12:43	Father, We have seen how You can turn even the most despicable of evils into Good. We have seen the healing power of God and what it is capable of, and breaking an addiction is nothing that is too hard for You to handle. I pray that You work these miracles in the life of Terrilee's mom. Please break her from this addiction that is destroying her body and the spirits of her daughter. You did this very thing for my grandma, and I pray that You make the same thing 'click' for Terrilee's mom, where she finally sees the error in her ways and quits on behalf of her health and her daughter. Please give Terrilee hope that You can do these miracles for her mom. Thank You so much Father for giving us the beautiful gift of prayer to connect with You and each other. :) In Jesus' name, amen

It gives us hope as well to know that God hears our prayers. :) Father, I ask that You continue to help this lady to give up her addiction to alcohol and cigarettes. Please let her turn to her faith in You to conquer these things. Please bless her and make this transition a little less difficult. Thank You, Father, for Your steadfast love! In Jesus' name, amen.

	marahet 9/30/2001 20:29	Father, continue to work Your wonders in the life of this family. No matter how small, we thank You for the changes we see. Remove the addictive forces from this family and, as Faiths_fire7 has said, let them reach for You so that the transition may be easier. In Your name I pray. Amen. Thank you Terrilee for the prayers for my daughter and myself. I am thankful for the little changes I see, but as soon as I acknowledge a forward motion, we seem to slide backwards again. I guess that is proof that Satan is alive and well! I believe with all my heart that, someday, Danielle will blossom into the woman God intended for her to be. I'm not sure I will live to see it at this rate, but it will happen!!! :)
