My husband and I desperately need your prayers as we are going through a very upsetting even with our two children.

What should we gain from this terrible situation with our two children?

My eight year old daughter just disclosed that my 14 year old step-son has been touching her in her private parts. My husband and our family are devastated by this revelation. My husband and I have been married for four years and have labored to work with our step-son on some emotional and behavioral issues and he had just started attending a public school setting again. Our son-has been sent to live with his mother who lives in our town, but he feels abandoned and denies the allegations. We are in such a state of depression, shock, confusion that I am finding it difficult to funtion-I have been out of work all this week. We do not have many close friends and have turned to couseling and our pastor for assistance-but just don't know how to go forward-we feel that all the joy has been taken from us. Please pray for our family, that we find strength and faith to move forward and find joy again.

She is a young girl unable to protect herself from someone who would harm her. It is probably more difficut for her because the perpetrator is someone she should have been able to trust. Her parents need to feel your presence right now in order to know how to help both children. Heavenly Father, please assist this couple to get in touch with the best professionals who can assist them with this problem of high priority for the entire family. Give them all the strength, courage and faith they will require to get thorough this tragic time in their lives. In God's name I pray.
