Prayer for the Hearts of all Mankind

This is a prayer dedicated to the hope that we can keep our hearts full of light, despite all the darkness in this world.

I pray that all people everywhere keep their hearts full of light. There is much darkness in this world... and it spreads like a plague.. the anger, the hate, the fear....the darkness which imprisons us by clouding our minds and shutting us off from the world and each other. I pray that we can overcome it and not let it spread to us. . may we be able to listen to each other and understand.. let us see the good in each other.. and focus on that. It is my hope in this time of chaos that we can grow stronger as a people of peace. But peace comes from the inside and is expressed outward. Peace cannot be present in a heart burdened by darkness.. I pray that we are able to love one another... even if this means loving those who would smite us... for in loving each other; we remain free.

May we each look within for our own light, and face our own darkness. May we actively work not to project our darkness onto others, and to seek the light they carry. Bless us, Mother, as we work to spread light and peace, and model healthy relationships and conflict resolution.

May we stand together and hold one another as we mourn. May we support one another and comfort each other. May we reach across barriers and boundaries, to those who are being shunned and excluded because of the fears of others.

May the spark of the Divine carried within each of us be fanned into bright flame. May we become Love incarnate, and teach love, healing, and peace.

Peace in each breath, peace in each moment, peace in each communication and action.
