Please pray for our families

It's been a year since our 3 friends & family members were murdered. These three men were gentle men and loved by many. They were caring men who were given the ability to work with their hands. They were murdered the first day on a new job.

The trials will begin soon for the people who murdered and/or played a part in the murder of our 3 friends/familiy members. 1 year hasn't healed the wounds or made it easier to understand, let alone explain to our children what has happened. These men were more than co-workers to us, they were also our friends and 1 was an uncle. My daughter still brings up one of the guys every week. She cries and wants to know who will show her little brothers and little sister how to hammer. At the age of 4, she doesn't think anyone should be able to own a gun. I think that it is a shame that a four year old ever had to think about that.
One of the guys had a daughter born after his death. One of the guys had several grandchildren, two of which were born the weekend before it happened. We live in a small town, where everyone either is related to someone or knows someone who is effected by the murders. Please pray for all the families who have been effected by this.

God I pray for the families who have been affected by the actions of these murderers. God, help them to express their emotions in a healthy way in a supportive environment, so they can release these emotions to you for healing. Help them to let go of the hurt feelings, and replace that space with your all encompassing love that heals all wounds. Show them any ray of hope that comes from this horrible thing that has happened. Show them the legacy that their sons left behind, for them to carry forward now. Be the strength that walks each step with them, God, as they endure the trials. I trust your comforting love to be the greater presence in their lives, and to abide with them as they go through this trial process. Amen.
