Governors of Montana and Connecticut

Praying that these Governors will reconsider their positions and grant the Proclamation for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

For months I have been working with a very special group of women. Our goal is to obtain a Proclamation in each of the 50 states recognizing October 15th as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. So far, over 30 states have agreed to sign.

Their are two states who have refused our request. Governor Martz, of Montana, has said through her office that they will not be signing due to budget reasons.

More appalling is Governor Rowlands of Connecticut. Dan Moreland, a representative of his, informed us "Governor Rowland does not give proclamations for Unknown Deceased Individuals." When asked if these were the governor's words, he said yes. Furthermore, he went on to say, "We shouldn't celebrate someone's death."

Please pray for these politicians that they will reconsider their positions and that they can open their hearts.

We know their hearts may be heavy with lifes burdens, but please show them how real our pain is. Help them feel the souls of our cherished children that you created for us and all to remember. Please show them this project we have undertaken is not to celebrate but to remember our children who you have so graciously chosen to bring to your heavenly home. The celebrating will be done when we see them again, when our day comes. Their open hearts and minds will be forever blessed by you. In your gracious and holy name. Amen

I ask that you would open the hearts of all those in positions of power to join in celebration of the lives of children who have gone too soon. Let us continue the legacy of their lives in a day of remembrance. I trust you to make provision for all things, including this day of remembrance. Amen.

	kahusue 9/3/2001 22:34	I know and accept that God is present in all things, of all things and as all things. This power and presence which we call God is Infinite and Unconditional Love. I know this Love moves through and is the truth about each and every person involved in this issue. I see all hearts and minds open to the Truth, a truth that is Open and honest compassion and understanding, a reaching out and touching those who have had to move through a very difficult process. And yes, I see us celebrating the LIVES of those we've loved even as we acknowledge their passings. There is a healing now and a moving forward as Divine Right Order and Action prevails. It is good and very very good. Thank you God for the depth and the breadth of all our Love and the understanding and compassion to reach across our differences for the healing of all our pain.
