All those who show love and compassion for someone incarcerated

We are seeking prayer for those who are friends and family of prisoners. It is a hard road they travel often not by choice and they are often considered outcasts of society by association.

Who was the last person that Jesus welcomed into heaven? Who did He last forgive? A prisoner. Throughout the Bible you will find that prisoners are mentioned often. Our Lord showed so much love and compassion for the prisoners however society dispises them. They are considered the piraheas of society.

Perhaps if they were shown the love and compassion that Jesus did they wouldn't have chosen the path that they did. Our current penal system is about revenge and punishment. If it were about love and compassion perhaps reformation would be more easily attained. It is a hard job to support a person incarcerated, we seek prayer for the many trials and tribulations of the friends and family members of those incarcerated along with the prisoners.

We are all God's children no matter who or where we are. My prayers are also with the families of prisoners for they are often forgotten. They too are, in a way, imprisoned. My dearest friend is incarcerated, juustly, because he was too poor to afford the proper counsel. We are appealing his case and ask that you pray for him as well as for us. We need all your prayers. Again thank you for your thoughts and prayers, we need all the prayers we can get.

	roaming2736 4/1/2006 18:40	Dear Lord, I�m not sure of everyone's current situation, but You know Lord. Please protect the prisoners, their families and friends from harm. Strengthen their will and courage to face their everyday struggles. Show them Your love and comfort them. Pour out Your blessings on these people. Bless their finances so that they can afford to pay their bills and enjoy life - paying for legal defence is expensive. When the people are released please bless their employment endeavours. Bless them with good friends, surround them with kind and encouraging people. For the prisoners who have done harm to others please help them to repent and to make amends with their victims. For the prisoners who are innocent of their charge please help them to gain their freedom quickly and legally. Heal their bodies and minds of whatever ails them, make them well and whole again.
