My Brother

My younger brother has always been very close to me. He is a good guy and has a very big heart. He just turned 26 years old. He has always been a story teller (my mother used to call him), but these last couple of years his stories have turned into lies.

He is losing his friends and our family is starting to lose our tolerance for him. My parents baby him horribly because they are afraid that he would do something to harm himself so they are always living in fear of what he'll do. We've tried to get him to see a counselor but he won't go. Please pray for my brother to seek some kind of help for his depression and for my parents who are close to retiring to get their way out of the debt he has put on them. We don't understand what's going on with him, but we love him and want him to be happy and get on his with life and stop hurting others including himself!

God I pray for M VE, that you would help his family to let go of taking responsibility for his actions, and allow you to provide for all of his needs now. I ask that you protect him divinely and guide him toward working through his inner turmoil, so that he may have life more abundantly. I pray you will open the doors to counseling, church support, 12-step, or whatever means is workable for this whole family, so that you may hold their hand through this opportunity for growth. Amen.
