A soul searching for his God-given talents

I am asking for the help of the prayer cicle to help me connect to Our Lord and find my true purpose in life. Although I have experienced success, I have not felt fulfilled in many years. I need His guidance!

I have recently undergone some severe changes in my life. I have been asking for God's help and guidance on my road forthcoming. I realize what I have, but I also have seen my life shattered through what I have lost:

+ My professional life through downsizing.

+ My wife and companion for over thirty years though her decision to leave and divorce me.

+ My house

+ Daily contact with my nine year old daughter

+ My self-respect

+ A sense of connection to anyone or anything

+ My interest in inquiring thought
and my desire for new ideas and expression.

+ My life savings

+ My ability to control my life and make sense of its chaos.

What do I have?

+ A belief in God who is the center of the universe, but who seems to watch from the sidelines as we flail about with our free will.

+ A daughter who loves me and is the center of my life.

+ Family and friends who care about my issues.

May he look at his life and see blessings and not losses. May he learn to forgive himself for what he perceives as failure. May he learn to love himself unconditionally, the way you do. May he learn that losses are not losses when perceived correctly. May he give thanks for the opportunity to practice complete faith in Your ability to always provide exactly what we need at the exact moment we need it. May he feel the love that is directed to him from all of his brothers and sisters. I join with You Holy Spirit in sending blessings of love and compassion to Christopher.
