Severa Zayas
Only grandmother, my mother's mother

My grandmother is 65 years old, and suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. It started just after her 56th birthday, and her condition has gone from bad to worse. My grandfather, has not left her side, and refuses to do so. He continues to love and cherish his wife regardless of the condition she is in. In fact, we all do. I am so proud of the gentle, and caring man that he is, who once said,"As long as I am living, I will take care of her here in our home". This was said many years ago, and he is definately a man of his word. As a family, we all take part in caring after my grandmother, after all, she did it for us. All that is left is the power of Prayer. That is why I am sharing my story with you all. I ask you to pray for our patience to continue on caring after her, while she is still here with us, and to help us all have the strength when the time comes for us to let her go. .

Thank you, and may God Bless you all.
