Intercessory prayer for healing through the power of prayer and agrement

We have 3 sons, all of whom are grown and in their 30's. Each of our sons suffers from addiction, drugs and/or alcohol. We have been struggling with this for 20 years. The disease has resulted in incarceration for 2 of our sons and the loss of every material thing they ever had as well as many ruined relationships. We have been praying for years that God would provide healing. Somehow we have managed through God's grace to remain part of their lives and be supportive, perhaps too much so at times - we find a fine line between supporting and enabling. We know that God answers pray, in His time, not ours and that we need to wait patiently. 20 years seems like a lifetime and we would like to have peace and comfort in the knowledge that God has shown them how to live as he wants them to live - God doesn't make junk, but they feel like junk. Help them to love and forgive themselves so that they may be the people God intended them to be.

Addictions are a horrible thing to struggle with. I know, I too have this problem. May your sons as well as yourselves find the peace that you have been searching for so long now. I pray that your sons realize and find the way to get away from their addiction(s) for good and that they never have to suffer these afflictions again! God Bless You!! Donna R.
