Church of Christ Girls
A ministry to the ladies of the Churches of Christ

This circle is for any girl looking for someone to talk to or a place let your needs be known.

In my life, I have gone through many situations that I need prayers for. A lot of the time, I don't know where to go to ask for prayers. This is for those people. Or just for any girl needing to talk. It's just between us sisters and God.

I would just like to ask for the prayers of yall. I am in my freshman year of college and having a hard time spiritually. I am far away from home so i do not have my parents to help me along and at times i feel my faith lacking. Please help me and pray me.

maas01,
I am a 39 year old woman who was raised Methodist. I went to church when I was home with my parents, but I quit when I moved out on my own. That was the BIGGEST mistake I made. If you haven't already, find a church you feel comfortable in and attend it as much as possible. Church is where you need to be when you find your faith lacking. Right now, at your age I mean, what you need to pursue are your relationship with God and your studies. God will always be there for you, just ask him. If this is difficult for you, that is where the church comes in. I have attended the Church of Christ for about 1-1/2 years now and have been baptized as an adult by my own choice. I have also been to "altar call" many, many times. I feel that the church is my earthly family that provides a direct connection with my Heavenly Father. I am not very good at self-study, but I do enjoy attending bible study and church where we discuss the Bible and help each other (mostly they help me) with our daily problems. There IS strength in numbers and nothing is stronger than brothers and sisters in Christ. I hope I don't sound too much like a preaching mom, but I do care about young people (my children are 9 and 5 and I'm pregnant with my 3rd) developing an early and strong relationship with God. Keep your faith, it will ALWAYS be there for you, love in Christ, SylviaZ
Email me at nzara@westco.net if you'd like to "talk" personally. Good luck!

SarahWagner,
What a smart girl you are. I am glad that someone your age is involved in church and is willing to ask for and offer help. A lot of the time it just helps to talk to or listen to someone who has been there. That is why I like the Church of Christ. I feel that church is like a family discussion of the Bible and how Christians should try to live? I hope my children (9 and 5) will maintain their faith and church attendance through their adult lives.
God bless you both and if either of you would like to "talk" my email address is nzara@westco.net
In Christian love, SylviaZ
